Creamy Puba Cake Recipe

Shall we make fresh puba cake? This is another of the gastronomic delights of our northeast: a cake prepared with a flour obtained from the fermentation of cassava. Here we show you how to make traditional puba cake that has an irresistible creamy consistency, perfect to accompany your afternoon coffee! Ingredients for making creamy puba cake:

 500 grams of puba dough

 400 grams of sugar (2½ cups)

 250 grams of margarine

 300 milliliters of coconut milk

 3 eggs

 1 teaspoon of baking powder

 1 pinch of salt

How to make creamy puba cake:

Beat the sugar and margarine until light and fluffy. Add the egg yolks, mix, and separately beat the egg whites with salt until firm.

Add the puba mass alternating with the milk, stirring constantly to dissolve the lumps. Add egg whites gently, without beating. Finally mix the yeast.

Place the puba cake dough in a greased and floured pan and bake in a preheated oven at 180ºC for 40-45 minutes or until it passes the toothpick test.
